Antique Furniture Wood Turning & Carving
Classic Antique Restorations can undertake all aspects of woodturning and wood carving, as part of a furniture restoration project. We can make or match a broken, damaged, or missing furniture section for your furniture by machining, moulding, wood turning, or carving a new part by hand.
Whether you need a single finial or drawer pull, a set of legs or spindles, I can meet your requirements, including the use more advanced techniques such as Split Turning and Fluting.
All work carried out by Classic Antique Restorations is done in the traditional way by myself, using hand tools on a lathe, I DO NOT use an automatic copy lathe. Because of this I can work in any species of timber and to any shape required within very close tolerances.
Quotations can be given on request. To proceed with an order I will need a master part to copy from, a scaled drawing or a detailed sketch with dimensions. If necessary I can supply timber or I am equally happy to use your own timber, providing it is properly prepared.
